Antique Copper Teakettle w Hinged Lid, Make do Repair 1800s.
Unmarked copper Teakettle from the 1800s.
Hinged lid spout cover dates to before whistling pots. The steam would clank it to alert for boiling water.
Double pigtail handle on lid. The handle is all metal (potholder needed) and tends to flop to one side or another.
Heavy tarnish around top edge and lid, with a bit less towards the bottom.
Make-do repair on one edge.
Lid fits snugly.
Hinged spout lid also works easily.
5.5 in across, with the bowl measuring 8 inches in diameter.
