Antique Spaulding Art Deco Platinum Diamond Bracelet Watch w/ Orig. Box -- 6"

Presented here is an exquisite antique early Art Deco ladies' platinum and diamond watch by Spaulding and Company of Chicago, Illinois.  This beautiful watch features an elongated rectangular face surrounded with tiny single cut round diamonds, with three marquise cut diamonds bezel set at the north and south ends of the case.  Curving around these marquise diamonds, and extending away from the ends of the case at both ends are more round single cuts set in extended openwork lugs, with a slender line bracelet strap that secures with a diamond-set fold over clasp.  A line of engraved detail embellishes the sides of the case.  At some point in the relatively recent past, the original mechanical movement was replaced with a quartz movement, which has been recently serviced and is running well.  The watch, which weighs 15.1 grams total, measures 6" long, with the bracelet measuring a slim 3/32" wide.  Included with the watch is its original bracelet box from Spaulding and Company.  The condition of this ladies' watch is excellent, with only very light wear to the polished platinum surfaces.  All of the diamonds are of excellent color and clarity, which is evident in the amount of sparkle this watch puts out.  All in all, a truly fabulous and extremely elegant Art Deco timepiece that will be a distinctive accessory for any occasion calling for a tasteful bit of bling!
