    Description

This is a complete, beautiful, vintage wood beam hay trolley that was manufactured and patented in the late 1800's by the Myers Manufacturing Company in Ashland, Ohio and removed from an old hay barn in Iowa.   Many meticulous hours have been spent cleaning and restoring this early piece of farming history by removing all loose rust and dirt.  An oil coating has been applied to the surface to bring out its natural chocolate brown patina.  This particular model of trolley is beautifully ornate, but very hard to find in good condition due the design characteristics that made it susceptible to breaking on the farm.  All of the track wheels and sheaves rotate as intended and are in excellent shape with no chips (very hard to find this model with good rope sheaves!).  However the center drop pulley can not be locked and engaged in the trolley itself and would have to be displayed roped up as I have shown in the pictures.  Overall this is still an excellent cosmetic example of this model of trolley and would make an excellent display or light!  This trolley measures 16" long, 7" deep, and 27" tall with the drop pulley, and weighs around 21 pounds. If you are looking for an original, natural looking trolley without the paint and artificial patinas....this is the one!
This trolley does NOT come with the track or rope shown in the picture, but I do have track, rope, trips, hangers, stops, barn pulleys, and other accessories available so feel free to ask about adding them to the order/listing.  Track and rope can be cut to custom lengths.
I've restored and shipped over 100 trolleys, so feel free to reach out as I can help you with any hay trolley project or questions you might have, thanks!
