In the 1850s, the English Crown imposed a tax on those distilling in Ireland through a tax on barley. Even then, malted barley was known throughout the world to make the finest whiskey, known as “pure malt” whiskey. When only malted barley is used in distillation, and made at a single distillery, you have the very definition of “single malt” whiskey. That tax, however, forever changed Irish whiskey, as almost every Irish whiskey distillery began substituting corn or other more inferior grains for barley. To this day, the biggest and most infamous Irish blended whiskeys use only corn.

Bushmills continues to distill malted barley and is the only Irish distillery time still using malted barley in all its whiskeys.

These handsome napkin holders were designed to be distributed as a Point of Sale advertising. These WERE NOT SOLD IN STORES!! They were provided to restaurants and taverns that served the beverage as an advertisement for the beverage.
This auction is for a very elegant BRAND NEW / OLD STOCK metal BUSHMILLS IRISH WHISKEY restaurant / bar table top advertising napkin / coaster holder. Boldly printed in gold and white, it promotes the famous BUSHMILLS IRISH WHISKEY logo.  It measures about  5 1/4 by 6 1/4 by 4 1/4 inches. It would make an excellent addition to the decor of your bar or man cave.
Condition: NEW, OLD STOCK, no box. Some age dust.
Now..if YOU have any other information or data on this piece and would like to share it, I'd be more than willing to pass it on to any possible NEW OWNER. Please feel free to contact me.

RETURNS / REFUND POLICY
No returns allowed unless item is not as described, unless otherwise specified. I will accept refunds with a valid reason.  (This doesn't include change of mind!) Item must be returned in original condition (within 7 days of receipt), un-damaged. Buyer to pay return postage. (Recorded Advisable) Refund will not include postage paid to deliver the item. Refund will be made once item is received back.

The day it leaves the factory, it becomes one day closer to it's end date.  When I find these devices, I plug them in, wind them up or put in a battery. If they buzz, whirr or seem like they're doing what they are supposed to be doing, I keep them for auction. At that point in time, I have NO IDEA of how old or how much use they have incurred. They may last a lifetime, or fail the next time they are turned on. Therefore, I sell these as "Decorative or Ornamental purposes" only, not functional. Which may be referred to as "AS IS".
