We've been asked for an early Colt Woodsman grip by some of our customers, so here’s a brand-new set of beautiful fine black walnut grips for the for the Colt "Pre-Woodsman" and 1st Series pistols, classic Colts from long ago
.  These grips are only for these guns and will not fit the
2nd or 3rd
series guns (see our other listings for more Woodsman grips).  We have two styles, one with a diamond engraved around the grip screw location and one without.  If you specify which you'd prefer we can supply that style; if no preference is specified we will supply one or the other (diamond or non-diamond).
If you would like a specific type, you must contact us via eBay Messaging FIRST to verify we have that style still in-stock before purchasing a set.
These grips have beautiful grain patterns and coloring typical of black walnut, and the finest quality machining, all made in the USA.  The fit is very precise, and when installed will highly enhance the appearance of your firearm.  The grips are checkered over the entire grip including around the grip screw hole on each panel.  These grips are installed as panel halves, with the screw included.  The grips aren't varnished, but finished with a fine oil to enhance the beauty of the wood and preserve it as well.  Whether your gun's finish is like, these will add that special touch, as no two sets of grips have exactly the same grain.
The checkering on these grips is very fine, and complements the gun's smaller outside dimensions perfectly.  These are easy to install as they're panel-type grips and simply replace those already on the gun.
These pictures are samples of the some of the grips; yours will be similar in appearance, but as every set varies due to the natural grain and color no two sets will be exactly alike.  Some of the photos were taken with a camera flash, which makes them appear slightly lighter - these are dark wood to begin with.  The last two photos show the "diamond surround" style.
These grips aren't plastic or synthetic; they are black walnut, with the grips made in the USA by craftsmen using modern CNC equipment to allow these to be sold at a price that is affordable.  They are beautifully made, and the pictures can't truly show the beauty of these grips.  The detail of the grain stands out because these aren't stained, they are oiled; the natural beauty of the wood shines through.

These are for either left- or right-handed shooters, as there is no distinct thumb rest on either side's grip panel.
This is a great way to improve the appearance and handling of your gun while adding the look of fine wood to your gun.  They complement blued or stainless guns equally well.
