Star Model B BS Checkered w/Logo French Walnut Pistol Gun Grips SWEET NEW!

We have here a few nice sets of fine walnut grips for the Star "Model B" or "Model BS" pistol models ONLY.  These do not fit the Super B, BM, BKM, PD or any other Star models (see our other listings for those).  The model of the Star pistols is usually found on the heel of the gun's grip frame,
stamped on the mainspring housing bottom.  These fit the 2nd model only, which has a straight extractor similar to the Colt 1911 (see the note below).

Note: There is more than one safety lever design on the Model B/BS, with the first model being quite rare.  These grips do not fit the first model, which has a smaller, different safety lever and "T"-shaped extractor.  If your gun has a T-shaped extractor THESE WILL NOT FIT YOUR GUN.

These are French walnut grips, similar to those commonly found on the 1911 pistols; the Star pistols mimic the appearance of the 1911, so these are appropriate for those who wish to return their Star to a more original yet attractive look than that of the plastic grips so often found on Star pistols.  The grips are not varnished but are hand-oiled to preserve them and enhance their protection.
This version is checkered similar to the standard grip, with the Star name and logo in a stylized center location on each grip panel, with a border around it.  The classic double-diamonds are present as well.
We've found these are much nicer to hold than the original plastic grips on the Star B or BS, and help accuracy as the shooter can more easily maintain a secure hold on the gun.
If you're not sure of what model Star you own, you can contact us for help.  Some photos were taken with ambient room light and others with flash to show how the lighting affects the appearance of the color of each grip set, making them appear redder.  These grips are not stained in any way, so what you see is the natural walnut wood.  The grips can and should be periodically oiled with a fine linseed or tung oil but are uncoated to allow the natural wood's grain and color to be visible while protecting and preserving the wood.
Those shown are examples of what we have and you will receive a set of equal quality and similar color and grain characteristics.  Like all natural wood, the exact shade and grain characteristics may be different than those in the photos.

These were made on CNC equipment, so t
he fit is precise, and when installed will highly enhance the appearance of your firearm.  There are no medallions or other things that weren't there to begin with; just simple, good-looking grips for a classic pistol that seems to be gaining in popularity.
The grips do not include any grip screws; if you need screws please check our other listings as we often have various gun screws available.
These are ONLY for the model(s)/series specified above, and are not sold or intended to fit any other Star model.  It is up to you to be sure these are appropriate for your gun.  If you're not sure, ASK!  Know your gun's model, as we may require such info to help you.
