We have here a few nice sets of fine rosewood grips for the Star "Model BM" or "Model BKM" pistol models.  These do not fit the Model B, Super B, PD or any other Star models (see our other listings for those).  The model of the Star pistols is usually found on the heel of the gun's grip frame, stamped on the mainspring housing bottom.
If you are not sure what you have please ask us for help before purchasing!  We'll be happy to help you identify the model you have so you get the correct grips for your gun.  The Star pistols are sometimes mistaken for other models; the model is usually stamped on the bottom of the magazine well.
These are checkered rosewood grips, similar to those commonly found on the 1911 pistols, with a double-diamond surrounding the grip screw holes; the Star pistols mimic the appearance of the 1911, so these are appropriate for those who wish to return their Star to a more original yet attractive look than that of the plastic grips so often found on Star pistols.  The grips also have a fine border laser-engraved around the double-diamond edges as well as the border of the grip panels themselves.
These are finely-checkered grips as the originals were.  We've found these are much nicer to hold than the original plastic grips on the gun, and help accuracy as the shooter can more easily maintain a secure hold on the gun.
If you're not sure of what model Star you own, you can contact us for help.  Some photos were taken with ambient room light and others with flash to show how the lighting affects the appearance of the color of each grip set, making them appear redder; every photo is of the same grip set.  These grips are not stained but are protected with a urethane coating.  Those shown are examples of what we have and you will receive a set of equal quality and similar color and grain characteristics.

These were made on CNC equipment, so t
he fit is precise, and when installed will highly enhance the appearance of your firearm.  There are no medallions or other things that weren't there to begin with; just simple, good-looking grips for a classic pistol that seems to be gaining in popularity.
The grips do not include any grip screws, so if you need screws you can check our other listings as we sometimes have various screws available.
These are ONLY for the model(s)/series specified above, and are not sold or intended to fit any other Star model.  It is up to you to be sure these are appropriate for your gun.  If you're not sure, ASK!  Know your gun's model, as we may require such info to help you.
