Description
REPRODUCTION BLUED STEEL GRIP SCREWS FOR STEYR-HAHN MODEL 1918 PISTOLS ONLY (DOES NOT FIT ANY OTHER MAKE OR MODEL)Due to requests for replacement screws for the Steyr-Hahn Model 1918 pistols, we're now making replica screws for the original factory grips and some of our own fine walnut grips.
For sale here is ONE (1) slotted steel grip screw for the famous Steyr-Hahn Model 1918 ONLY - these do NOT fit any other makes or models of guns. These are blued-steel screws, CNC-produced reproductions of the original found on the classic pistol.
We have grip screws for many other classic pistols, so be sure to check our other listings. The grips use only one screw to secure them to the gun (there are other characteristics of the grips that help position them on the gun).
These are reproductions of the OEM-sized screws, right down to the stepped shanks and "thick" heads, which are taller in comparison to most standard screws. Due to their age and use of some Steyr-Hahn 1918 pistols, the original screws are often in damaged condition, with the slots mangled by repeated removal and installation. These are new reproduction screws; why not enhance the appearance of your collectible pistol with a new grip screw? NOTE: THESE ARE NOT ORIGINAL FACTORY SCREWS BUT ARE REPLICAS AND ARE NOT SOLD AS THE ORIGINAL PRODUCTS.
IMPORTANT: Often the original screws were lost during shooting or cleaning the gun, and they are quite unique to these guns. Since they weren't easily found, some owners had their guns altered to accept a more standard screw size. Since these are made to mimic the original grip screw's dimensions, if your gun's screw threads have been changed or rethreaded this screw may not fit your gun. Please ask us if you have grips other than the factory grips or our specific English walnut grips for the Steyr-Hahn Model 1918, as many grips use different screws.
You are purchasing ONE grip screw for each quantity selected in the box above; if you'd like more than one screw you can increase the purchase quantity. Check our other listings for slotted and hex screws for other grip screws, including hard-to-find models; ask us if you don't find what you need since we are adding new makes and models often. Check your gun to be sure of the size you need; if you don't see one please ask as we may have other screws available from our grip sets.

Firearms safety is Job One!
Before modifying your firearm, be sure you have completely removed the magazine, unloaded the weapon and cleared it. You cannot be too safe when handling firearms! If you do not feel comfortable performing the work required to replace your grip screws, seek qualified help. You are responsible for damage to your firearm, tools, etc. Do not overtighten any grip screws, as you may damage the threads on the frame of the weapon or interfere with the proper operation of the gun. If you're not sure what to do or how to do it, ask! There are plenty of folks willing to help.
