Studio button, contemporary habitat in wood, robin's egg, azalea, etc signed, 1".  So, I walk every morning and it seemed like mother robins were kicking their shells out of the nest left and right this spring.  What a gorgeous blue...I had to do something with them. The azaleas were also just fantastic this year.  So I grabbed a bit of this and a bit of that and made this habitat button.  It is purpleheart wood rimmed in aluminum.  The habitat stuff is a piece of robin's egg, some azalea petals (both scarlet and purple), a tip of grass gone to seed and, if you look real close, three dandelion fluffs (look towards the bottom of the eggshell for one of them).
The button measures 1" in diameter and just about 1/4" thick (not including the glass dome).  The shank is glued on this button because I needed as much depth as I could get.  I signed the button "EM 2021".
